Shalom Jackson promotes the understanding of Jesus, who is called Yeshua, as a Jew. He was and is from the land of Israel. His life was tied to the land of Israel and to the Judaic faith of His day. When He returns He will still be Jewish, but His message and promises are for everyone.
At Shalom Jackson we emphasize Yeshua's words: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." His message directs us to the coming kingdom and requires genuine repentance that includes contrition, forgiveness and transformation in Yeshua's name. The true good news leads us to seek first His kingdom.
We acknowledge the Torah as God's unchanging standard, endowed with His authority, will and wisdom. The Torah defines sin and provides instruction regarding righteousness for both Jews and non-Jews. Matthew 5:18 states that "Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle will pass from Torah until all is accomplished."
We believe in Israel's continuing position as the chosen people of God and reject replacement theology and Christian anti-Semitism. The Jewish people and the land of Israel are the subject and setting of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and they are the apple of His eye. The Father has not abandoned His people. Israel will never cease to be a nation as long as the sun, the moon and the stars endure. The Father promises to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her.
Shalom Jackson participates in the modern Messianic Jewish movement and endorses and supports First Fruits of Zion and the work of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America.
God has revealed Himself in Deuteronomy 6:4
"Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One." We believe He exists forever as stated in Genesis 1:1 Elohim, plurally one.
The Bible is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. ( Psalms 119:89, 105, Isaiah 48:12-16, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
He is the Messiah, the Eternal One. In Yeshua is the fullness of divinty, and He dwelt in human form. He is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us.
(John 1:1-14) We beheld His glory, the only begotten Son of God, full of grace and truth. He is worshiped as God and exists eternally. (Colossians 1:15-19)
We cannot earn our redemption. Romans 3:23
From Ephesians 2:8 and Romans chapters 5 & 6, we believe: Anyone who trusts in God alone is made a new creation in Yeshua. As such, he is indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God and is removed from darkness into the kingdom of Yeshua and light by grace alone. (Leviticus 17:11, Isaiah 53)
We cannot merit, earn or keep eternal salvation by our own works. Our status as a new creation is the work of God alone. (Romans 8:29-39 & Ephesians 2:8-10)
The Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) comforts, leads, teaches and indwells true followers of Yeshua. (John 16:13, Acts 9:31, Corinthians 3:16, 2 Timothy 1:7)
Jeremiah 31 teaches us the Father's covenants with the Jewish people are enduring. Deuteronomy 30 teaches us the fulfillment of these covenants includes the return of the Jewish people to Israel. (Hosea 3, Amos 9:11-15)
Even though Non-Jewish believers do not become Jewish, they are full and equal participants in the covenants of promise. (Jeremiah 31:33, Romans 11: 11-24, Ephesians 2:12)
Ephesians 2:11--22 teaches us that in Yeshua Messiah, believers are equal and should walk in unity of spirit. While we may not agree on every detail, we are called to love one another as Messiah loves us.
Torah reveals the righteousness of the Father and the Apostolic Scriptures also teach the lifestyle of the redeemed community. (Matthew 5:17-19 and 2nd Timothy 3)
We believe Yeshua Messiah will return to reign upon the throne of David in Jerusalem. We believe in a premillenial return. (Revelation 19:11-16, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe the redeemed will be resurrected to everlasting life and the unredeemed will be eternally separated from God and experience ongoing punishment. (Daniel 12:2-3, Job 19:25-27, Revelation 21:6-9)
All to the glory of God!
